About StrikeGearHQ

We’re fighters and coaches who review combat sports gear. Every glove tested, every guard evaluated.

Who We Are

StrikeGearHQ was built by people who actually train. We’ve wrapped our hands thousands of times, broken in dozens of gloves, and cracked more than a few shin guards in hard sparring sessions. We know the difference between gear that looks good on a shelf and gear that holds up when you’re trading shots in the ring.

Our team includes active competitors and coaches across boxing, Muay Thai, and MMA. We train at real gyms, spar real rounds, and test gear the way it’s meant to be used — not in a studio, but on the heavy bag, in the clinch, and on the mats.

Why We Started This

When we were starting out, finding honest gear reviews was a nightmare. Most “review” sites had never thrown a punch. They’d copy spec sheets from Amazon and call it a review. We wanted something better — real reviews from real fighters who actually put in the work.

That’s what StrikeGearHQ is. No fluff. No sponsored opinions disguised as reviews. Just honest assessments from people who care about combat sports and want to help you find the right gear for your training.

How We Test

Every product we review goes through actual training sessions:

  • Boxing Gloves: Tested on heavy bags, mitts, and in sparring. We evaluate padding, wrist support, fit, and durability over weeks of use.
  • Shin Guards: Taken through hard sparring rounds, checking for slippage, shock absorption, and comfort during Muay Thai clinch work.
  • MMA Gear: Tested in grappling, striking, and mixed sessions. If it claims to do everything, we make sure it actually does.

Our Promise

We’ll always tell you the truth. If a $40 glove outperforms a $150 one for beginners, we’ll say so. If an expensive piece of gear is worth every penny, we’ll explain why. Our job isn’t to sell you the most expensive option — it’s to help you find the right gear for your training, at your level, within your budget.

Welcome to the team. Let’s find your gear.
